In the 3rd quarter for the Bulls vs. the Nets? How? How is that possible?

Sorry to keep posting in your newsgroup. I am a Memphis Grizz fan (I lived in Vancouver for 5 of their 6 years) and a Kings/Hawks fan (read: Bibby/Shareef fan) and I am just amazed at how terrible this team is. I sat through 6 years of pretty bad b-ball with the Grizz, but at least they could score some points and had some exciting players. But the Bulls.....with Eddie Robinson out and Curry and Chandler on the bench, why would anyone watch this team?

PS - I think Chandler will be the player the Bulls will build around. He is athletic, can shoot and is long. Curry is too chubby and too short to play Center and he can't keep it in his pants....reminds me of someone else....Shawn Kemp anyone?

Oh its possible.

If you have the same sickness we have then there is no need to apologize. Curry and Chandler do actually play. They did get a few DNPs strung together but the situation is hardly as dire as it sounds.

So was Brad Sellars.

Curry does apparently have one child out of wedlock already so maybe the Kemp comparison is more apt than we know.

Why watch? Because at some point in this century the Bulls will turn it around and start winning, and the best thing for a sports fan is to see their loser team become a major force. But on the other hand many Bulls fans are also Cub fans so go figure.

Curry was drafted on the potential that he will grow a few more inches and add a lot more muscle while reducing some flabiness. This is the only way he will ever become remotely effective in the NBA. But the kid just turned 19 so give him some time.

I had to do a double take when I listened to the news. 6 lousy points. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse (after the T-wolves game) it did. I just can't understand why the powers that be are still in power. How can anyone's ego (the Jerries) be so big that they would allow their once respected and feared team fall so far and become the butt end of jokes on Late Night televison. I'm still a fan but it's getting harder and harder to stomach.

The 2 Jerrys have proven over and over again that the last thing they care about are the fans. Reinsdorf is a greedy owner whose only concern is the bottom line of the profit and loss statement. He's shown it time and time again via the White Sox and the Bulls. Krause is an arrogant egomaniac who would like people to think that he singlehandedly brought 6 championships to Chicago. The truth is that he owes everything to Jordan. Unfortunately in his quest to prove the critics wrong he dismantled the team in such a way as to guarantee that we would not just be rebuilding, but starting over as if we were an expansion team.

Talking about jokes (or may be reality), ESPN's Dan Patrick had a poll question the other day about which team will win more games this year, the Chicago Bulls or the Chicago Bears?

About 72% picked the Bears to win more than the Bulls! For those who don't follow American football, the Bears play a 16 game schedule and are 8-2 currently and are expected to win 10 or 11 total games. Come to think of it, these people may be right, and that is the sad part. Oh, how I wish we had gotten somebody like Jason Kidd for Brand (plus Crawford and Fizer) instead.

Except expansion teams at least have some positive baseline level of good will on their books ...
