About the only thing that could possibly make the Bull's situation worse would be for Floyd to simply quit, probably at the end of this year.

It would be understandable if he did, in fact you can make a pretty compelling argument that he should. Considering than in three years time he has gone from a hot commodity to the owner of the worst win/loss % of all time among NBA coaches it would be hard to fault the guy for choosing to graze a greener pasture.

Imagine though how that would play. Chicago would be a team that not only cannot land of top FA, but cant even keep a punk college coach around. Not good.

Clearly, if Floyd is leaving then for the franchise to hang onto even a sliver of credibility he has to be fired.

Ahhhhhhhh. Friend vs. Friend. Interesting no? So does Krause allow Floyd to finish the year or does he give Tim a push before he can jump. I don't pretend to know what will happen but I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd got the boot long about February.

I've only seen the team a couple of times this year, living in Michigan as I do, but if ever anyone looked like he was mailing it in, that person is Time, er, Tim Floyd (he's even passed his Freudian slips on to me, somehow). But if he does get the ax that he so deeply desires this year, who gets the team? Cartwright, maybe? That's a first head coaching job I wouldn't wish on anyone.

I don't see that happening. Floyd doesn't strike me as a quitter. Besides, where would he go? He doesn't exactly have too much of a resume to go elsewhere.

That would be interesting to say the least. Keep in mind that for Floyd to get fired, that means that Krause would have to own up to making a mistake in hiring him. Something that he might just be incapable of doing considering his delusional mindset and bloated ego. Sooner or later Floyd just may explode. That would be the entertaining feature of this whole debacle.

Well Floyd has a good college resume that probably remains unstained by this debacle. Hell, I think everyone in basketball knows that he never got a chance here so I don't know how much of this hurts him.

True. Either Krause has to admit Floyd was a mistake or his entire plan was a failure. If it comes to that look for Floyd to get the boot. He may explode, soon.

How would this help the Clippers? The Clippers didn't make a mistake here only the Bulls did. Miles looks like the better player in the short and long run and It's pretty obvious they preferred him on draft day too. While Miles shows superstar potential and will probably be the best player out of this draft, Fizer is starting to look like major-league bust. He certainly hasn't flashed any of the star potential you expect out of the #4 pick. Miles and Odom will survive quite nicely together at the 2/3 positions for years to come.

It looks like both Odom and Miles are best suited for the SF position. Since the Clippers could use Fizer at his natural PF position, it would help them. If Miles is showing superstar potential like you are saying, why is he riding the pine and producing even worse numbers than Fizer? Using him at SG would be a joke also because he will get torched at the defensive end. As for Fizer being a bust, it is too early to tell. Just like Miles, he has also shown flashes of potential stardom too.

I will admit though, that it is easier for Miles and Odom to play together than for Brand and Fizer to play together. See my other thred 'Power players vs. ball handlers'.

Perhaps. If they both turn out to be stars, then I'm sure they'll have no problem playing one of them at SG and forcing other teams to match up with them.

Because he's only 18 and still learning the game. What's Fizer's excuse? He was suppose to be the more polished player having gone to college for 3 years yet he's not.

Similar stats actually but I like Mile's better, especially considering his age.

Miles: 18.0 minutes, 5.1 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.1 bpg and 43% shooting. Fizer: 20.7 minutes, 7.3 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.1 apg, 0.2 bpg and 36% shooting.

36% for an inside player? That's horrendous. So basically Fizer has only outscored him and that's only because he's obviously hoisted up far too many shots.

Of course he would but only because he's 18 years old, not because he doesn't have the ability to become an outstanding defender. He's an athlete in the Tracy McGrady mold. Have you ever seen him play?

> As for Fizer being a bust, it is too early to tell. Just

Debatable on the last part but I will agree that it's too early to give a final verdict. Let's just say that the early returns aren't as promising as expected on Fizer, which is probably why you're looking to try that draft day trade again.

See I've got you arguing both sides of the coin now. Obviously you don't think to highly of Fizer and prefer Miles or else you wouldn't have suggested trading them for one another. But now you come back here defending Fizer and slagging Miles. Have you now convinced yourself that Fizer is worth keeping over Miles? Probably not. And I can guarantee you that the Clippers probably aren't interested in helping you out. Sorry.

I would take Fizer's numbers with a grain of salt considering the team around him. Even Elton Brand who had 20ppg and 10rpg as a rookie is having a tougher time this year with the current group. Look at his numbers and FG% this year. It looks like the team has become worse this year than last year (and I never thought that was possible) because of all the young guys with no chemistry on the team. Don't you think Fizer could be starting and producing better numbers as a PF for the Clippers?

You are forgetting the fact that the Clippers really wanted Fizer and not Miles on draft day. It was no secret that they took Miles at #3 to prevent the Bulls from grabbing him. The plan was that since the Bulls already had Brand they wouldn't draft Fizer and would pick Mihm or somebody else at #4. Orlando was then supposed to pick Fizer at #5 and trade him + other players to clear cap to the Clippers for Miles. Krause either thought Fizer was the best player available at #4 or he wanted to ruin the above plan when he made the selection. Fizer's conncetion to Floyd may have also played a role in this. The rest is history.
