Nothing against El Hunter, he did a nice job at the beginning of the season, but why sign Shaw, if you aren't going to use him?? Hunter just can't get it done, when the pressure is on. He's Eddie Jones on steroids during the playoffs and has faded big time lately as a Laker starter. Shaw, OTOH, can deliver when the going gets rough (see Porty playoffs 2 years ago). Why not start Shaw (ala Ron Harper) bring in de Fish, and give Hunter spot duty. I'm not ready to write Hunter off, but maybe bring him along a bit slower???

At least they can give Shaw some more minutes. He's hardly played this season.

Maybe its because the Lakers just won 4 in a row before last night. Why must you make a change after losing one time?

Agree... Shaw is a much better player than Hunter... Hunter can't play defense, worse than Tyron Lue...

I was thinking Jackson wanted to 'rest his legs' for playoff time, but the lack of minutes is glaring. I'd take an experienced, tall, clucth proven player like Shaw over Hunter any game of the week. Hunt may grow into a reliable role player in the future, but currently the guy looks completely lost........

Lue is horrible. A hard worker, but not NBA material. Hunter does have some potential, but has always faded in the clutch. These things don't change over night. Given time, maybe he can fit in, but right now he's not pulling his weight..........

I'm not even blaming the loss on El Hunter. He just doesn't seem to fit in for the past couple of months. Don't get me wrong, the Lakers can win it all with Hunt there, but it would be much easier with a proven player such as Shaw, than the historical 'choke' record of Hunt. Eddie Jones is a decent example. Definitely great athlete, but come crunch time he simply fades away.......
