Touché! But, I hope Mercer is not the second best player on the Bulls this year. Brand was suppose to be the 'safe choice' last year, while Fizer has been predicted to be the next Charles Barkley, etc. I also say Artest is a very good defensive player who is still developing offensively. The Bulls had him starting at four different positions last year and he was making a big transition from how he was used at St. Johns. I have heard the NY media second guessing the Knicks for not drafting him.

The starting line-up might not raise eyebrows, but I think the Bulls will be very deep with their underrated bench. Tarlac, Ruffin, Artest, and Hoiberg can be great producers. The point guard position is a huge gamble by going with 3 very young rookies, which still might be an improvement over last season.

No really, things will get better with the bulls but it's not gonna happen instantly. Be positive about it atleast.

We are going to suffer through some very very bad basketball and I don't see any reason to be happy about it. While I would love to see things get better I don't have any reason to believe that anybody currently on this roster is going to be around when that happens. We were supposed to be avoiding this weren't we??

'Improved' is a relative word and an entirely different word from good or competitive. We will be 'improved' if we win 25 games but will still be one of the worst teams in the league. If we can't be an 'improved' team over the one that won 17 games last year then Krause doesn't deserve his job. 'Improved' is a ridiculously low standard to meet. Krause hasn't attempted to put an NBA caliber team on the floor for two years now, we damn well better be 'improved'.
