Watching Chandler tonight in Dallas and naturally comparing him to Nowitzki I think we can get a pretty clear idea even now of what his main challenge will be.

Clearly he has no ball handling skills and no range so the hope that he will be another Nowitzki is an empty one. In fact I really believe Bagaric can put the ball on the floor more effectively than Chandler and Im not making a joke. I think you can see the Bulls know this already because I have yet to see a single set run for him while he is face up and his teammates continually decline to pass the ball to him even on broken plays when he is facing the basket. The one exception that proves the rule is the alley oop they run for him from time to time. Other than that everything that goes to him is post.

You might think that having Chandler in the post would at least give him a chance to display this athleticism we keep hearing about. A quick drop step maybe? A deceptively quick spin perhaps?? Nope. None of that. Chandler's NBA career will be with his back to the basket, same as Curry's btw so wont that be fun to sort out. Problem is he doesn't seem to know anything about playing that way. Nothing. And his fundamentals are so poor that he isn't going to get the chance to play on the wing so if he can't adapt then he isn't going to amount to much.

Go team

No, that was last week's groundless comparison. This week he's the next Kevin Garnett.
