CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago Bulls forward Marcus Fizer was charged with having a loaded gun in his car and driving with a suspended license early Sunday morning.

Illinois State Police Sgt. Wayne Winterberg said Fizer was pulled over just after 2 a.m. for having tinted windows on his sport-utility vehicle.

Police then found Fizer was driving with a suspended license. While preparing to tow his car, police searched it and found a .40-caliber

The 24-year-old Fizer was drafted out of Iowa State fourth overall by the Bulls in 2000.

The Bulls did not immediately return telephone calls to The Associated Press.

A bond hearing was scheduled for Sunday.

I didn't know Fizer was related to Jeb Bush.

African-American, the

The news reported it's against the law to tint the windshield & front windows in IL, how does pulling him over for a legitimate infraction violate his rights? Sounds like more work for Johnny Cochran.

Doesn't need to be. Not everything can be blamed on the BUshies. See Allen Iverson and his recent gun-waving exploits (and, speaking of this, did anyone see Sir Charles on Tim Russert yesterday? Good stuff.).

I notice this is cross-posted to asbncb but I see no responses from that group. Is it completely dead these days?

That will be his ticket out of town for certain. If you're going to be a Chicago Bull and get caught carrying a gun you have to be able to play. Everyone knows that.

Why don't the cops just wait outside the tinting places and:

10 Suspect pays for tint job. 20 Suspect drive off lot. 30 Pull suspect over, issue ticket, poke around for gun or weed. 40 GOTO 10
