I was willing to let the Jerry's slide on not getting Hill or Duncan. That was never going to happen and I don't think it had a lot to do with the Jerry's, just logistics and the fact that the Magic look to be contenders a little quicker than the Bulls. But if McGrady takes an exemption to go there with them instead of coming here where he could get the league max, shit is going to hit the fan. I know this is just the latest rumor but I can sure see it happening. You know what this makes us if it happens? The Eastern Conference's Clippers! A team that no amount of money could entice a FA to play for. Totally ridiculous. Have the Jerry's burned so many bridges and alienated so many people that it has come to this? Well I'll tell you what, no offense to these players, but Eddie Jones and Tim Thomas WILL NOT cut it!!!

Agree with you on Thomas and Jones, but it's hard to overestimate the dislike for the two Jerrys around the league. I have a friend who is an NBA scout, and he said the players always dis the two Jerrys. I mean Reinsdorf paid MJ 30 million plus and still managed to alienate him by complaining and bitching about it after the fact. If the Bulls franchise had a better rep among players, at least Grant and TMac would have given us serious consideration, I believe.

long time ago that it space as possible and top quickly. It's not least. Having a team full road FA's isn't what we the draft by the Clips Magic in FA. If we can't Bulls rep we could BE alt.sports.baseball.chicago-cubs
We already ARE the Clippers. And next year, we'll be trying to catch up with them....

I think the point is that Krause publicly said a long time ago that it was their intention to clear as much salary cap space as possible and hoard craft picks and get this team back to the top quickly. It's not working out like he said it would to say the least. Having a team full of potentially good players and middle of the road FA's isn't what we are looking for. The Bulls were humiliated in the draft by the Clips and are getting the same treatment from the Magic in FA. If we can't land any FA's here because of Krause and the Bulls rep we could BE the Clips in a few years........
