I haven't watched a game in three weeks.
Funny, I hardly miss it.
I hear they're in the middle of an 8 game losing streak? Or did they win one before starting another?
They've totally lost me. The sport of basketball is still exciting. I even love the pro game. Just not enough to subject myself to this every night.
From the silence in here, I guess most of you have too?

I don't know...I think after the Rose trade the team has become more interesting to follow. Not only his play (do we really have a guy that can score in the forties?) but also the few solid games by the high schoolers have been encouraging.
The main thing to do is not think about Krause. Don't even give yourself the perverse pleasure of criticizing him. Just pretend the man does not exist. Following the Bullies is much more enjoyable that way.

Does anyone know if there is a newsgroup for the Fighting Illini football and basketball teams? If nothing else we could go off-topic and talk about how to Illinois colleges have advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tourney.

And how many players on those college teams are older than some players on the Bulls. And, perhaps, who might win a Bulls-Illini

I was going to start a thread entitled 'Still like the trade?' but wanted to at least wait a month unlike others who were raving about it after we got 3 wins in a row. It's obvious that all the trade accomplished is a basic rearranging of the deck chairs on the Titanic. We still stink but we now have a glorified Ron Mercer with Jalen Rose.

Yes, that titillated me for about a week, too. Then I remembered that most teams have two or three of them.
And I've never really watched a game to see how many points my favorite player could score. Well... okay, seeing MJ chortling up snot with the flu and dropping 40 was nice, but... let's not even go there.
I'm not picking on your post, but it dawns on me that this is what it comes down to. I can't remember the last time I watched a game to be 'encouraged', or left a stadium thinking about how encouraging it all was. The Kings, after trading for Webber and Divac and drafting Williams

You're right. He is overrated but then he will surprise you now and then so I like to think of him as being under-overrated.
Either way, he's our new best player

Rose is a significant upgrade over Mercer. That is not even debatable.
