No glory for the Bulls once again, and no luck on breaking their losing streak which has now hit four. On the other hand, the Raptors, because of the Bulls loss did get to break their 7 game losing streak.
Till the fourth quarter the Bull’s were actually playing the game, and it wasn’t so clear which of the teams would get to break the loosing streak, but in the 4th quarter, maybe due to the stress, the Bulls game kind of fell apart, letting the Raptors move ahead and win the game 114 - 94. Sad but True.

Whether it is the stress or lack of concentration, or losing track of the defensive game or all of the above it is not quite clear, but obviously, the Bulls need to calm down and do some serious breathing exercises otherwise, with or without Rose, this will not be the season of positive change for the Bulls.
For the past 3 games there has been an average of 20 turnovers agame, this game it was 23 that aforded the Raptors 27 points.

Sad but true.

Not so sad but very true is this - The Basket Ball Game of Barack Obamas Life which you may have seen already, as it is not breaking news, but since I had missed it I figured that there would be others. Enjoy

Johnny Kerr Tribute

The Chicago Bulls will be holding a Tribute for Johnny Kerr, the team broadcaster in honor of his 35 years of service to the Bulls.
The Tribute will be held during halftime of the Bulls game against the Detroit Pistons on February 10th at the United Center.

Kerr Started his basket ball career with the University of Illinois Varsity team where he Scored 1299 points in his 3 years of playing for them.

In 1954 he was selected by the Syracuse Nationals from the NBA Draft and helped the Nationals to there first NBA Championship. Two years after the Nationals relocated to Philadelphia and changed there name to the 76ers Kerr was traded to the Baltimore Bullets in exchange For Walli Jones.
Although he was selected by Chicago Bulls in 1966 in the NBA expansion draft, he chose to retire and became the coach of his home towns brand new team. He had a brilliant first season, but had to retire from the bulls a couple of years later due to differences with the team owner at the time Dick Klein.
After a short time with the Phoenix Suns, he retired from coaching.

In 1974 after Klein had left the Bulls Kerr became a television color commentator for the Bulls and remained in that position till May 2008 when his duties were limited to home games, since Kerr no longer wanted to travel.

Obviously, the game against the Pistons is one the Bulls should win, not just for the regular reasons, but in Honor of Kerr.

I read an interesting post about them on Empty the Bench Seems as if they are not having the best season, putting it mildly - and since unfortunately the same could be said of the Bulls, (although less so) it seems as if there internal turmoil might work in the Bulls best interest on the game on February 10th.

Unfortunately, Mondays game against the Blazers, although of to a good start in the first quarter, with the bulls leading 28-21, took a turn for the worst from then on out and ended a sad 109 - 95 loss for the Bulls.
I’m not much of a stratagist, but it is obvious that some changes need to be made after loosing 8 out of the last 11 games.

Tonight’s game is against the Raptors who are in a similar situation as the Bulls, loosing there last game, and finding themselves wedged in a small corner of hope for securing a playoff spot.
A lot could be riding on this game.
Not all basket ball sucks however, Reading this post on The Painted Area lifted my spirits some.

Bulls Beat Utah Jazz 106-98

I like it when the Bulls Win (Dah) I like it even better if the victory is not a walk in the park, which has its upsides, but makes for boring viewing.
The game against the Utah Jazz was such a game, the Bulls finally winning 106 - 98, although midway though the fourth quarter things weren’t looking so good.

The situation was 85-89 with Utah Jazz in the lead when Thalbo Sefolosha hit a 3 pointer that started a 13-3 run for the Bulls. From then on out it was Bulls Bulls Bulls with Derick Rose scoring 10 out of his 24 points in the remaining time in the game.
Gordon also did extremely well, scoring 26 points during the game and putting in his 2 cents in the final minutes of the game adding an extra three points to the Bulls score.
The main contender From Utah Jazz was of course Deron Williams who must have felt a breeze as Rose blew by him on the way to score, Rose closed the game with 39 seconds left, with one last score.
It looks like Roses Bad spell is over now, after struggling in the last 2 games against the Bob Cats and the Clippers, which as far as I am concerned is good news.
BenGo07 from Thank You Isiah had a lot to say about the game against the Bob Cats hop over and read.

Bull’s Loose To Spurs

It would have been really nice to carry on the winning streak from this road trip as well but unfortunately it seems as if that wasn’t in the cards, or in the players and in the second half of the game against the San Antonio Spurs the lead slipped away leading to a sad 98-88 loss to San Antonio.

Vinny Delnegro says the Bulls ran out of gas because of San Antonio’s High screen and roll, as well as from their penetration.
It seems to me as if their heart just wasn’t in it and the Spurs played a much better game.

Maybe the Bulls had seen this new Lebron Nike video and their mind just wasn’t on the game.

Would yours have been?

I don’t know how this girl managed not to pass out laughing half the time. I would love to see the bloopers for this advertisement.
