Let me be the first to say congratulations and good luck to Bill Cartwright as the new Bulls head coach. I hope he does as well as another former knick that Krause hired to coach the Bulls.

BTW, could this be the first time that Krause went along with what both Sam Smith and Mariotty's suggestion to pick Cartwright? I don't think this will result in any less ripping from the media (Mariotty is already doing it even as he commends Bill's hiring).

Was Bill Berry's tenure simply to take two sure losses away from Bill's record and so that he could start his term at home?

If playing Memphis is a 'sure lose', we are even worse than I thought. Can we be that bad.

What happened is the same thing that's been happening in cycles for the past three years. We're so bad that other teams don't really play that hard. Suddenly they look up at the half and we're only five points behind. A few lucky bounces and we win 3 out of 10 games.

Coaches start getting hot under the collar, and for the next 20+ games they come out and beat the living hell out of us.

We're in the middle of that cycle now (though the coaching change throws an X factor into there). I wouldn't be surprised if we beat a Philly or a Phoenix, or even both in a 10 game span. Then they'll come out hard again, and Memphis will make us look like chumps again.
