Kahlid gets start

We're about 15 minutes away from tip off but I just heard Kahlid will get the start tonight at point. That is outstanding. He clearly deserved it and Im glad that Floyd has the balls to give the nod to the person who earned and not the person who was acquired for it.

Baring injury Drew will be the most irrelevant player on the team.

Out of curiousity, anyone have any idea what games are going to be nationally televised? Because I live *nowhere* near Chicago, and while I know people who do and who will tape some games for me, I'm not the most patient person in the world . .

I spent last night trying to find a television, or at least internet radio broadcast, of the opening game. El-Amin owned the state of Connecticut for the last three years. Say what you want about him but he just flat out loves to win.

That's an understatement if I ever heard one. I live in Connecticut, the guy could of probably gotten the key of the city of Hartford if he asked nicely. There are a lot of people out there who don't like him for things that are completely irrelevant to basketball, but on the court, at least at UConn, he was good and he knew how to get the job done.

Oh, and another question from a completely NBA-dumb person - if you're on the injured list, do you get to play AT ALL? EVER?

As I understand it, if you're on the injured list, you can't play in games. Players put on injured reserve must miss at least 5 games. After that they may be taken off the list at any time, but the team has a max of 12 active players, so the Bulls would have to put someone else on IR. Therefore, Benjamin, Voskuhl and Bagaric are out for at least 4 more games.

Thanks, that's all I wanted to know. I've spent the past year trying to learn all the NCAA rules and now I have to try to learn all the NBA rules/regulations,etc. . . .
