I agree,......this might be a small view, but I was at the cubs game when McGrady thru out the first pitch and the crowd chanted T-MAC and it was loud!.....once it calmed down....he was flalling his arms up like a wounded chicken asking for more cheers...it just sent me the wrong message that the 'kid' was immature and he didnt even realize what he was doing...he looked stupid!....
Anyways, I'd like him to be a bull, but too me he is another Scottie Pippen but even more immature. Sur I'd take him, but he isnt the total answer to the title.

In short, the sign & trade with Miami couldn't be worked out .
Doc pressured him for a commitment all of Wednesday
Mcgrady is signing for the max and announcing it Friday.
They would be better off with Eddie Jones. Mcgrady ain't worth the max and has only proved his imaturity.

It's true that anyone giving McGrady the max is paying for potential but I don't think I'm alone in taking a guess that McGrady in a couple of years will be a better player than Jones ever was. That's not a knock on Jones, McGrady just has such very rare talent that only something disasterous will stop him from being one of the top 5 or 10 players in the game real soon........
