OT (heh) Whither accountability?

The primary purpose of penalties is to compensate a player who has been placed at a disadvantage through an illegal act of an opponent. A secondary purpose is to restrain players from committing acts which, if ignored, might lead to rough-ness even though they do not affect the immediate play.

I would assume that hundreds of bulls fans would be getting on-line instantly and continue to share their thoughts about, the whole game, the bulls had won against the Lakers this past saturday. Once again,Where are you guys? Because any other day you would be ripping Mercer up. What did you guys think of that clutch three pointer that he had hit late in the fourth quarter? I already know, it was sweet like candy. You must be trying to find another reason to get rid of him now because he has prooven lots of you wrong. And Tyson Chandler is goiong to make it in this league. And once the coaches can arrange some quality time for Eddy Curry then it's going to be showtime. Oh yeah, I can feel it!

In other words, they should've tossed Shaq when he threw the forearm shiver, huh?

You want everyone to start posting that Chicago is gonna compete for the playoffs? Anyone who follows this team regularly knows that they have their moments here and there, but the bottom line is a win vs. the Lakers won't mean jack after a week or so.

Chandler was there for rebounding purposes, so I thought of the 4 other Bulls the Lakers decided to not guard Mercer, the lowest 3p% shooter out there.

Personally I think Mercer is a good player and seems like a good person, but he is not enough of a complete player a team would want for a run at a championship.

And even though I've never really bashed him, I don't see the logic behind saying he has proven anything. Mercer is having a much worse season this year than last one production-wise as well as efficiency.

The quality of play of this Chicago team will depend more than anyone on the performances of C & C, so I hope you are right.

Just like I remember the Bulls whining and moaning about how physical play is 'bad for basketball' and how something needed to be done about it...

What I remember is all the b.s. whining about Jordan superstar calls like the one when Kobe was manhandled by Artest but was awarded a phantom foul in the end. If Bryant is all psyched up about playing the Bulls again he better hope Ron 'Kobe/Jordan/Carter - stopper' Artest is sick that day.
