I'd agree with you that 35 games would be a great achievement. This team has the scoring talent and will put up 100 points every night but there is no one who plays any sort of defense. An addition of Scott Williams and Popeye Jones would help.

i expect this team to win 30 games max. JW will come in and porbably give 15 and 5 every night but the real factor in how many wins we get is in the development of Chandler and Curry. In KG's 2nd season I think he averaged about 15-18 points. That kinf of production from either Curry or Chandler could MAYBE force us into the playoffs.

On the whole Crawford situation, I think trading him would be a big mistake. With all this talk about him shifting to play SG, why can't we move Williams into SG and play Crawford marking the bigger man on defense. Then we could have Hassel and Mason coming off the bench.

Unless Fizer can learn to play defense and start rebounding, he and Hoiberg need to be shipped off ASAP. I've seen this guy play and he does have some good post moves but doesn't seem to have the motivation or will be to better. I'm looking at him to be a journeyman throughout his career.

After reading that article about Chandler, Curry and Hassel going to the Berto centre to practise everyday, the future looks extrememly bright. Chandler seems to have that great drive and will to improve remenicent of Jordan. In 3 years time we could have the best frontline in the league. Curry and Chandler averaging 20 or more points each. Just think about that WilliamsChandler pick and roll.

Krause, you've done us proud.

Yup, Zimmer, that's correct. Read some books about Ernie Banks, for instance.

Simply put, Jay Williams is reported at 6'2' and Jamal Crawford is 6'5'. My guess is there are not too many 6'2' SG's in the league... primarily because there are a lot of 6'5' to 6'6' SG's with enough leaping ability to make the size difference a big deal. If the Bulls return to some of the Triple Post (Triangle) offense of the past, the distinction won't be so great on offense. Statistically, both have a halfway decent outside game, and I think the belief is that Crawford's height and quickness makes him a possible slashing 2 guard.

My Two Cents

The really cool thing about this team is all these players are about the same age. They are going to be able to play together for a LONG time. If one of them becomes a superstar and two become all stars we could have a top level team for years to come. I was excited when we traded for Chandler and drafted Curry, now that we also have Jay Williams I can't wait for the season to begin. I really think the team will be able to compete for the last playoff spot. Normally the last spot doesn't mean a whole lot but it would be great for the future to see the kids get some playoff experience.

Heres to a fun and exciting season.

Or listen to Krukow on TV and the radio. The most knowledgeable about hitting and relative performances are the guys who throw yakkers, hard a. Dunno much about Nolan Ryan, but he'd pitched to MLB hitters for 4 decades, so his yakker might not be all that bad. Krukow and Ryan couldn't even take batting practice, however, and I can't pitch worth a damn, aside from batting practice.

Ryan says, three decades, but I think he played minor league ball, or even little league ball with some then to be future major league hitters. Krukow was awesome at his best, and mediocre a lot of the time [around a .500 winning percentage]. He's a broadcaster now, and talks a lot of sense, as does McCarver, who can tell you that Krukow's yakker was one of the best at the time.

Kiss his ass, Tim.

The answer to why Billy Williams and contemporaries are better? No steroids, similar or better batting averages, fielding percentages, and sheer wrist development and strength. Do an equivalent bench press with the muscles in the wrist, even with Bench today, against Bonds.

haha getting Rashard Lewis for Fizer and ERob would be a steal! Get rid of two ppl who dont really figure into our future and get one that does in return. Not to mention getting rid of ERob. But that would put us in a bit difficult position having 6 starters on one team... Would Lewis accept being the 6th man [being the new player?] or would Crawford be bumped

Any deal involving Rashard Lewis would involve Crawford, so there is no use pondering that trade. Jamal is a Seattle native and has an almost mentor-like relationship with Gary Payton.
