Can someone please explain to me why the Bulls still use this offense? Tex Winter or even Phil Jackson aren't around to teach anyone how it works. Recently Elton Brand said that nobody has a clue what they're doing with it. He goes on to say that at least last years team had Perdue, Simpkins and Randy Brown as players who understood it. I guess that explains the lofty 17-65 record

Krause, nothing like pissing off the only player on the roster worth keeping just to run the offense used in the glory days. (Psst, note to Jerry, Jordan, Pippen, Rodman and Grant would have still won championships even without your pet offense, they were pretty good

Because the 'Sloth' aka Krause thinks he's gonna prove that he don't need Phil or Tex to run the triangle. It's all about his ego, which is more overinflated than his body!

I'm beginning to think you are right. The only reason the Bulls don't scroe 65 pts. a game is because they've had the sense to only run it about half the time. It's time for the triangle to go, this situation is just not right for it..........

I know that I'm right. Tim Floyd was brought in soley to take orders from Krause and to deflect criticisim from the media. Here's a college coach with no experience in running the triangle, who decides to keep using it??? Does anyone really believe that? If Krause tells Floyd 'The sky is going to fall', Floyd looks up to the sky. Unc

Well guys what are they going to run that will make one bit of difference?? They don't rebound well, they don't defend so they aren't going to run anybody out of the gym and they don't execute even the most basic sets out of the triangle. They don't screen well, they don't have a center to draw doubles away from Brand. They don't handle the ball well and other than Mercer they have no one that is even a threat to break down a defense off the dribble. They don't a three point threat to prevent teams from sagging in on Brand, they don't have a small forward. This is just a bad team. A different offense might make a difference of a few points night in and night out but they aren't losing by a few points.

Its bad folks.

A third thing is very necessary for the triangle: a good bail-out player, one who can get the ball with 6 seconds left on the shot clock and make something happen.

You don't need a Jordan, but the triangle is a time-consuming offense the too often gets down to 6/7/8 seconds without a shot. You then need someone who can create something for himself.

The Bulls are missing that (along with your two other points).
