I'd say tht the Bulls talent level far exceeds the Heat's. I'm not saying we'll win, because we all know that the Bulls play like crap on the road. But, in my mind, we'll see what a difference a coach makes. I'm no Riley fan, but he'll get the most out of his players most nights. Cartwright, well, lets wait and see...

The Heat have less talent than maybe anyone. They remind me a little of the Bulls' in Brand's last year (one or two 'good' players, and the rest made up of 'could-bes' and 'never-wills'.

Did you see what they were doing, though? Up against the baseline... I scratched my head for awhile before I realized... 'Hey, they're guarding their own basket! Defense!'

The Jay Williams-Jamal Crawford situation becomes more of a catastrophe with every passing game. Crawford is now doing what he's never been able to before, and what I think the Bulls' dreaded the most: he's outplaying Williams HANDS DOWN. I have no idea what to do now. It never should have gotten to this

I agree, that heat squad is awful. The fact that they are playing well together and defending hard is evidence against our coaching staff. The Bulls look confused and lackadaisical every game in quarter one.

Not sure what you were talking about here? If you are talking about the Bulls matador defense, then I'm with you.

Williams id digressing at an alarming pace. He play well in the first month, and through in a few very good games. But, you can see he has zero confidence now. Again, I think its our coaching staff inability to develop talent. Look at all of our picks the last 3 years! Has any of them developed at the rate expected of their position in the draft? Not in my opinion, they only get limited playing time and it is never consistent. Fizer is playing like I expected him to play in year one. Same goes for Crawford, why does it take that long? Curry and Chandler are playing well below expectations, and they don't seem to be progressing. Where is the plan????

This is really frustrating me! Trent is also slipping from his level of last year. Why does he have to play starter minutes and shoot 38% from the field? His defense aint THAT good. He has to play Crawford at 2, so we know if it is workable to have both Williams and Crawford on the team. Until they give it a try, all they will have is two guys struggling to find their role.

Don't get me started on Blount. Why is he on the team? This is an example of bringing in a scrub to fill out the roster, and hurting the team. I guess Bill thought he could grab a rebound or two in his 26 minutes, I wish Chandler would have been playing at the end of the game. Again, he and Curry got a combined 23 minutes of play. That's 3 less than Blount! I don't get it. They combined for 6 pts, and 6 rebs, which isn't good, but better than our boy Blount.

Jay Williams problem is that he's had everything basicly handed to him his whole life. He came in here arrogant and outspoken before he even played a minute! Did he think that he was going to single-handedly turn around this decrepit excuse for an NBA team? He has no experience with dealing with adversity and it's showing. Crawford should be starting and Williams comes off the bench until he improves. There is no plan and there never has been other than Krause's fantasy of getting Tim Duncan,Grant Hill,or Tracy McGrady to come here. One year it was youth and the next yr it was veterans we needed. The playing time management is atrocious, just like it was under Floyd's regime. Players never know what to expect. The assistant coaches are like the Keystone Kops of professional basketball. Take some time and read their resumes and you'll see what a useless bunch of non achievers thet truly are.

For the same reason Fred Hoiberg is here. They work cheap and keep their mouths shut. A better question is why on earth is Dalibor Bagaric still here? He's obviously is not part of any future plan, never plays, and has zero trade value. Why not release him? Poor Reinsdorf would have to pay him. Instead he just continues as a dead spot on the roster.

Not only that, but Riley is playing an eight-man rotation. The guys at 9-12 on the roster are situational players only. Why? Because a lot of those guys at 1-8 are 'potential' NBA players as it is, and they're going to figure out if they can learn or not. The ones who don't won't be in the rotation next year, if they're even on the team. That's called 'talent evaluation,' rather than 'reading the box scores,' which seems to be about the most the Bulls' organization can handle.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. I was watching Miami actually defend their own basket. It'd been so long since I saw the Bulls' do that, I forgot what it looked like.

Not one of them has been All-Rookie, even!

I think the above is the key. You just can't play 10 or 11 guys and find out about them (Then add in Rose playing 45 min) and there isn't enought minutes to go around.

Cartwright doesn't get it, from todays papers....

really believe in. Each team develops its own identity.'

Whatever, guy. You've known him for how long?

This team needed (and continues to need) confidence and leadership. That's what he was giving at the beginning of the season. That he isn't doing it any more is a shame, and a testament to this staff's inability to work with players.
