I can not believe Floyd sat Jamal Crawford for the Denver game, because of some wild notion of playing only 3 PGs in a game. Crawford needs to play in every game to get as much NBA experience possible. In the long run it does not matter how A.J. Guyton, Khalid El-Amin and Bryce Drew turn out, because they are only vying for the back-up PG job of the future. On the other hand if Crawford does not develop his full potential Tim Floyd will be in the unemployment line. This whole thing just baffles me, Crawford should have at least got some playing time at the SG and SFW position if it was so important to give Guyton, Drew and El-Amin playing time at PG. Sitting Crawford for a preseason game does not inspire confidence in the current Bull's head coach.

It's a good thing Floyd doesn't have your mentality, since a 4-point guard rotation would annihilate whatever team chemistry they had going.

Crawford will play in every game that he is healthy. Pre-season is COMPLETELY meaningless; absolutely no bearings on the season. And your suggestion that it doesn't matter how the other 3 point guards turn out is just plain ludicrous.

Since Drew will definitely be the opening day starting pg, and Guyton and El-Amin are competing for a roster spot, it would make more sense to give El-Amin and Guyton more PT than Crawford for the remainder of the preseason, so the Bulls can make a better decision on who they should keep; perhaps both. This will be a learning season for him.

It seems to me that you are suggesting that benching Crawford out of 20 minutes from 8 pre-season and 82 regular season games is going to hurt his development.

Pure comedy.

(Also, Jamal's injury would have kept him out had he been named active for the game)
